Job summary

Dow is hiring a Chemical Processing Operator at its Alberta Operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada. The role involves monitoring and optimizing plant performance across Hydrocarbons, Solution Polyethylene, Gas Phase Polyethylene, and Power & Utilities while maintaining safety and environmental responsibility.

Requirements include a high school diploma, progress toward ABSA 4th Class, a Canadian driver’s license, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Progress toward ABSA 4th Class certification (or higher).
• Valid Canadian driver's license.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship available).
• Two-year technical diploma preferred.
• 1+ years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize plant operations.
• Operate equipment and adjust control systems manually when necessary.
• Perform field checks, isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Follow Dow's Life Critical Standards and operating discipline to ensure safety and reliability.
• Participate in Emergency Response Brigade training, including fire and rope rescue.
• Work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to plant commissioning efforts.

Education
