Job summary

Dow Canada seeks a Chemical Processing Operator for Alberta Operations in Fort Saskatchewan. You will monitor and optimize plant units, perform field checks, and ensure safe, compliant operation across Hydrocarbons, Solution Polyethylene, Gas Phase Polyethylene, and Power & Utilities.

You will work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, with opportunities to pursue ABSA 4th Class certification and grow toward higher classifications while contributing to Dow's decarbonization and safety goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ABSA 4th Class certification or higher is preferred or in progress.
• Technical diploma in Chemical/Power Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize plant units (Hydrocarbons, Polyethylene, Power & Utilities).
• Monitor controls, perform field checks, and adjust equipment as needed.
• Follow safety standards and participate in emergency training.
• Collaborate with a team to support commissioning and reliability.
