Job summary

Crossroads YMCA in Griffith, IN is seeking a Cheer Coach to lead energetic, safe cheer classes for youth and adults. You will plan age- and skill-appropriate lessons, teach routines, and build positive relationships with families.

The role requires energy, patience, and adaptability across skill levels; CPR/First Aid certifications within 30 days, plus cheer experience. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 15 required.
• 12 months experience in participating in cheer training, with prior experience teaching gymnastics lessons preferred.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED & First Aid and New Leader Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, energetic, safe, and educational cheer classes.
• Provide supervision and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Create age- and skill-appropriate lesson plans for progression.
• Teach and develop cheer skills, routines, and choreography.
• Maintain attendance records and support program retention and growth.
