Crossroads YMCA in Crown Point, IN is seeking a part-time Gymnastics Coach to lead safe, engaging classes for youth and adults. No experience? Training provided; must have weekday morning availability and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 required.
• 12 months experience in gymnastics training; teaching experience preferred.
• Certifications within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED & First Aid and New Leader Orientation.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate and communicate to diverse groups in the community.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Passion for learning, working with youth/families, and gymnastics.

Responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe, and educational gymnastics classes for youth and adults.
• Provide supervision at all times.
• Create class lesson plans tailored to ages and abilities.
• Build relationships with participants and parents, promoting YMCA programs.
• Communicate progress with parents/guardians as appropriate.
• Maintain class attendance records and ensure participant rosters are accurate.
• Complete daily equipment checks and cleaning tasks.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
