Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Program Instructor of Cheer based in Indianapolis, IN. You will lead cheer/motor skill classes with emphasis on safety and a non-competitive atmosphere for members.

Candidate should have cheerleading or teaching experience, be at least 16, and able to communicate with children from preschool to middle school. Certifications (First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention) or willingness to obtain within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cheerleading or teaching preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to communicate with preschool to middle school children.
• Visually inspect participation space for safety.
• Maintain current certifications or obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality leadership and supervision in cheerleading and/or motor skill classes, maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
