Job summary

Depot Connect International in Garden City, GA is seeking a Chassis Mechanic with MIG & TIG welding experience to join our team. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30am–4pm, and a pay range of $20.00–$37.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical or other systems on tank trailers.
• MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless or carbon steel.
• Tank service and repair.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Inspect tanks and trailers for DOT HM183 and hazmat compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on tank trailers.
• Weld using MIG/TIG techniques as required.
• Service and repair tanks and trailers to meet DOT/Safety standards.
• Install and repair trailer suspensions and related components.
• Inspect and verify compliance of tanks and trailers with HM183 hazmat rules.

Shift/Hours: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4pm.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $37.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• MIG & TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
