Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department to deliver direct patient care, supervise staff, and lead clinical assessments in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires NC RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS across six months, and 3+ years ED experience with potential for Charge Nurse duties. Rotation includes nights on a 3x12 schedule with a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Three or more years of RN Emergency Department experience.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
