Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for Neuro Science. This full-time night shift offers a 3x12 hour schedule and a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus.

The RN will lead a 20-bed neuro unit, support self-scheduling, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning. Responsibilities include accurate patient assessment, timely interventions, and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state where practicing is required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS and NIHSS must be completed within six months of hire.
• 2–4 years Neuro/Ortho RN experience preferred.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify care needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document medical necessity in the chart accurately.
• Develop and revise interdisciplinary care plans.
• Complete timely quality improvement assessments.

Skills

RN license

Basic Life Support

ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within 6 months

Neuro/Ortho RN experience 2–4 yrs

Charge Nurse experience

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
