Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time role includes 12-hour night shifts with every-other-weekend rotation on a 32-bed unit.

Active NC RN license (or compact) is required, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timeframes. Prior ED experience of 2+ years is preferred, and self-scheduling offers flexibility.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
