Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage credit underwriting and monitoring for a portfolio of clients with limited to moderate complexity. You will independently perform financial analysis, evaluate risks, structure loans, and support loan decisions in collaboration with Relationship Management and Risk teams.

With 5+ years in Commercial Banking, you will bring strong analytical and communication skills across sectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking experience underwriting (Business Banking, Middle Market, Leverage Finance, etc.)
• Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management
• Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally
• Industry knowledge across multiple sectors

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
