Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients. You will independently handle transactions of limited to moderate complexity and produce financial analysis to support loan decisions.

Reporting to the Commercial Credit Manager, you will structure loans, negotiate terms, document credit analyses, review borrower information, and monitor portfolio performance across lines of credit, term loans, and real estate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking underwriting experience.
• Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
