Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients. You will independently handle transactions of moderate complexity, perform financial analyses, structure loans, and monitor portfolio performance within a collaborative team environment.

The role reports to the Commercial Credit Manager and requires expertise in credit analysis, policy adherence, and effective communication with Relationship Management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking underwriting experience (Business Banking, Middle Market, Leverage Finance, etc.)
• Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management
• Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally
• Industry knowledge across multiple sectors

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
