Job summary

Bank of America is hiring an Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage credit underwriting for new and existing clients, applying financial analysis, modeling, and risk assessment. The role collaborates with Relationship Management and Risk teams to structure loans and monitor portfolios.

Reporting to the Commercial Credit Manager, you will drive loan decisions, verify documentation, and oversee key credit actions across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking underwriting experience.
• Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
