Job summary

The United States Golf Association (USGA) is seeking an Intern for the U.S. Women’s Open Championship at Inverness Club in Toledo, OH.

This hands-on internship focuses on volunteer management, parking/transportation, community relations, and other championship functions in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Interns will work 40 hours per week with potential increases to 60-80+ hours during peak lead-up and championship periods, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a fast-paced championship environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work long hours in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support Volunteer Program from training to credential distribution and communications.
• Assist Championship Office operations: phones, mail, supplies, and staff logistics.
• Coordinate staff meals, accommodations, rooming, and arrival/departure tracking.
• Assist with staff, guest, and VIP communications and credential distribution.
• Support meetings, receptions, and events with planning, setup, and onsite execution.
• Assist with setup/teardown of offices, staff spaces, and support facilities.
• Support Parking, Transportation, security operations, and related logistics.
