Job summary

U.S. Open offers an internship at Inverness Club in Toledo, OH, with a strong emphasis on operations, volunteer management, and community relations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting championship execution, logistics, and stakeholder communications in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Interns will perform a range of tasks from on-site facilities management to office operations, with housing provided for the duration and onboarding at the USGA campus in Pinehurst, NC.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic in fast-paced, team environment.
• Willingness to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, setup, operation, and breakdown of championship facilities.
• Coordinate and distribute equipment, credentials, and materials.
• Serve as liaison for vendors, volunteers, and USGA staff.
• Assist with volunteer program operations including scheduling and training.
• Coordinate with local agencies on Public Safety, Parking, and Transportation plans.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professional support.
• Provide administrative support including meals, laundry, and staff services.
• Help mentor interns and support day-to-day execution.
• Assist with championship marketing and community engagement efforts.
• Complete required safety trainings, including OSHA 10-Hour.
