Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains, Inc. seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, accounting, and reporting across its Brookings and regional sites.

The role partners with the CEO, Board, and Finance Committee to steward resources and enable impact in communities across the region. The CFO will strengthen cash-flow planning, budgeting, treasury practices, and financial controls, while building scalable systems and providing timely, decision-ready information for program

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years in financial leadership, preferably nonprofit.
• Experience with fund accounting and GAAS strongly preferred.
• Ability to oversee multiple locations and complex funding sources.
• Strong governance and board-facing communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with strategic and collaborative leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to CEO, board, and Finance Committee.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and scenario analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls, reporting, and compliance across locations.
• Support donor relations and fundraising through transparent financial insights.
• Mentor and develop finance staff; build scalable systems and processes.
