Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Senior Manager for our CFO Advisory - Accounting Advisory practice to lead engagements with public and private clients. The role combines technical accounting expertise, client leadership, and mentorship of junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers hybrid flexibility (or remote for the right candidate) with travel up to 40% for project needs. CPA/MBA preferred; strong US GAAP knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a strong understanding of US GAAP
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting or industry environment performing audit, accounting or consulting services
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Proven experience scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements
• Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments
• Professional service network and interest in sales preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver accounting advisory engagements, including technical accounting matters and new accounting standards implementation
• Mentor junior professionals and drive growth within the Advisory practice
• Engage with client leadership and draft deliverables
• Participate in planning, field work, and wrap up of engagements
• Build strong relationships with clients to meet engagement objectives
• Travel up to 40% as needed
