Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Senior Manager for our CFO Advisory – Accounting Advisory practice in the United States with hybrid flexibility or remote for the right candidate. The role involves leading engagements, delivering technical accounting guidance, and mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate has a strong US GAAP background, CPA/MBA preferred, and 7+ years in accounting or advisory. Travel up to 40% is expected as needed to support client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with strong US GAAP understanding.
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting or industry performing audits, accounting or consulting.
• Experience with technical accounting matters and accounting processes/controls.
• Interest in technical accounting and ability to navigate ambiguity in client assignments.
• Professional service network and sales interest preferred.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience in scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver accounting advisory engagements, including technical accounting consultations and new standard implementations.
• Direct activities of junior professionals and engage with client leadership.
• Contribute to planning, field work, wrap-up and deliverable composition.
• Maintain strong client focus and build relationships with key client personnel to meet objectives.
• Leverage automation and digital processes to improve client performance.
• Advise on accounting system selection and implementation with tech partners.
