Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Senior Manager for our CFO Advisory – Accounting Advisory practice. The role offers hybrid flexibility, with remote options for the right candidate and travel for specific projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in audit, accounting or consulting within a public accounting firm or industry, with strong US GAAP knowledge and leadership skills to mentor staff and drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a strong understanding of US GAAP required.
• 7+ years of experience within a public accounting firm or industry environment performing audit, accounting or consulting services required.
• Sufficient experience with technical accounting. Understanding of accountings processes and internal controls.
• Interest in and experience with technical accounting matters
• Able to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments
• Professional service network and interest in sales preferred.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Proven experience scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver accounting advisory engagements, including technical accounting matters and new accounting standards implementation.
• Direct activities of junior professionals, engage with client leadership, and draft deliverables.
• Participate in planning, field work, wrap-up, and final deliverables of engagements.
• Maintain strong client focus and develop productive relationships to meet engagement objectives.
• Leverage critical thinking to improve processes and automate where possible.
