Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP seeks a Senior Manager for its CFO Advisory - Accounting Advisory practice with hybrid flexibility (or remote for the right resource) and travel as needed. The role involves leading engagements, mentoring teammates, and driving growth within the advisory practice.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in accounting advisory or public accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and enthusiasm for client service. CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in public accounting or industry accounting/advisory services.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and ability to advise on technical accounting matters.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and ability to manage multiple engagements.
• Excellent client service mindset and ability to develop relationships with CFOs and business owners.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver accounting advisory engagements for clients, including technical accounting, new standards adoption, and financial statement prep.
• Direct junior staff, oversee planning, fieldwork, wrap-up, and deliverable composition.
• Interact with client leadership (CFOs, Controllers) to discuss findings and deliverables.
• Drive growth within the Advisory practice through scoping, presenting, and selling engagements.
