Job summary

WMCH Weirton Medical Center is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality sonographic procedures across abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts and vascular exams. The role requires RDMS certification (ARDMS) with a specialty in at least one ARDMS area and CPR within 30 days of hire.

Typically involves hospital-wide duties and collaboration with Radiology. The candidate should have about 1 year of sonography experience and familiarity with PACS and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification through ARDMS is required.
• One ARDMS specialty certification (AB/OB-GYN/PS/RVT/Breast/MSK) is required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Explain test to patient and assist in positioning.
• Maintain equipment and safety, ensure compliance with JCAHO standards.
• Produce high quality ultrasound scans per protocol and physician orders.
• Operate and adjust scanning equipment to optimize image quality.
• Assist radiologists with patient procedures and document results.
