Job summary

WMCH Weirton Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to perform high-quality sonographic procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular studies with color Doppler and portable exams in a busy radiology setting.

The role requires RDMS and ARDMS specialty certifications, CPR within 30 days of hire, and at least one year of sonographer experience. You will work with radiologists, maintain image quality, and ensure accurate PACS transfers.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification through ARDMS is required.
• One specialty ARDMS certification (AB, OB/GYN, PS, RVT, Breast or MSK) is required or preferred.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Explain the test to the patient and position for examination.
• Produce high quality ultrasound scans according to protocols and orders.
• Assist Radiologists with patient procedures.
• Maintain equipment and PACS image transfer.
• Keep CME points updated for ARDMS and participate in in-service education.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and hospital policies.
