Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for St. Charles Hospital. The role assists the surgical team by providing sterile instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques, and preparing case supplies. Required education includes an Associate degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent certification.

Licensure: CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT; BLS preferred. At least one year of perioperative experience preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent certification.
• Certification by CST, NBSTA, TS-C (TS-C not accepted in Cincinnati), or NCCT as required.
• One year perioperative or related surgical technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
