Job summary

Mercy Health – The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies for operative procedures. The candidate will maintain aseptic technique and assist throughout the case, ensuring optimal operating room efficiency.

The role requires an Associate Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, with certification options including CST/TC or NCCT.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required).
• Demonstrated ability to maintain aseptic technique and sterile supplies.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Performs complete case preparation and adapts instruments and supplies as needed.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by the procedure.
