Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology required.
• One year of perioperative surgical technology experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.

Education

Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology

BLS - American Heart Association (preferred)

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / NBSTA / TS-C / NCCT certification
