Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist for Clermont Hospital to support the operative team with sterile instruments and supplies. The role emphasizes aseptic technique and accurate case preparation in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates should hold an Associate degree or vocational/military certification in Surgical Technology and CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT credentials with preferred BLS. Mercy Health offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
Certification: CST, NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT as listed (see note on TS-C in Cincinnati).
Minimum one year perioperative or related surgical experience preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
