Job summary

LCMC Health's West Jefferson Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a full-time, 13-week position classified as PRN. You will assist the circulating nurse, maintain a sterile field, and provide scrub support during procedures, with adherence to asepsis and instrument handling.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT), and current BLS. Expect variable hours in an active OR team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the circulating nurse with patient positioning and site preparation.
• Maintain an organized sterile field and provide scrub assistance during procedures.
• Follow asepsis principles and verify sterile instruments prior to procedures.
• Prepare the operating room with sterile supplies and instruments per surgeon preference card.
• Scrub, gown, glove, set up back table, drape, and count with the circulating nurse.
