Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to successfully complete Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic nursing care and preparation of surgical patients under the supervision of the staff nurse.
• Set up tables, instruments, sponges and supplies for specific operations and maintain sterile field.
• Pass instruments and maintain correct counts during operative procedures.
• Serve as a member of the sterile team and support perioperative workflow.
