Community Health Systems is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team as a full-time Certified Surgical Technician. The role supports the surgical team by preparing, maintaining, and sterilizing the sterile field and instruments, ensuring readiness for procedures, and assisting with patient positioning and documentation.

Competenze

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• CST certification preferred; BLS required.
• 0–2 years OR experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare operating room and ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments promptly.
• Support instrument handling, cleaning, and sterilization per policy.
• Document counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer
• Maintain physician preference cards and procedural documentation.
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for next cases.
