Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• CST certification preferred; BLS required.
• 0–2 years OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments promptly.
• Support instrument handling, cleaning, and sterilization per policy.
• Document counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer
• Maintain physician preference cards and procedural documentation.
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for next cases.
• Adhere to policies and attendance expectations.
