Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures. The role involves aseptic preparation, patient positioning, and assisting the surgeon with instruments and supplies during surgery.

Must have a Surgical Technology program and/or LVN/LPN training, with BLS certification and eligibility for CST or LVN/LPN license within 180 days. Per diem scheduling and a dynamic OR team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist status or LVN/LPN license within 180 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and prepares the operating room for procedures.
• Transfers patients to and from the OR and positions them for surgery.
• Sets up tables, instruments and supplies according to case type and assists the physician as directed.
• Monitors and ensures the sterile field, and handles specimens as needed.
• Adheres to universal precautions and facility policies.
