Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients in the OR. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, scrubbing multiple specialty areas, and supporting the surgical team under a licensed nurse's supervision.

Qualifications include a Surgical Technology program or LVN/LPN program, a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and CST eligibility within 180 days of graduation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• 2 or more years of experience preferred.
• BLS required
• Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a professional nurse, performs sterile techniques and assists in the delivery of direct patient care in the OR.
• Scrubs and passes instruments to the physician and maintains a sterile field.
• Assists with preparing the OR for cases and ensures proper setup of instruments and supplies.
• Works as a team member to support patient safety and care throughout procedures.
