Job summary

The Staff Pad is seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector for our Dallas, TX projects, focusing on residential, commercial, and energy services. You will conduct on-site inspections, review plans, document findings with photographs, and ensure compliance with building codes and engineering specifications.

A valid Residential Combo Inspector License is preferred or pursued, along with strong communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

Residential Combo Inspector License or willingness to obtain
Continuing education/CEUs for licenses
Building inspection or construction/code experience preferred
Knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and engineering specifications
Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
Valid driver's license and ability to meet vehicle requirements

Responsibilities

Review building plans and project specifications prior to inspections
Perform building inspections to verify construction matches approved plans and applicable code requirements
Evaluate the structural quality and soundness of buildings and construction projects
Document inspection findings with detailed notes and photographs
Prepare and enter inspection reports accurately and thoroughly
Review reports for accuracy and completeness prior to submission
Ensure all required inspection reports are submitted daily
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and professional standards
