Job summary

ADVOCARE, LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide high-quality, direct patient care and support healthcare providers in New Jersey. The role combines clinical and administrative tasks with an emphasis on accurate documentation, patient education, and teamwork.

The CMA will obtain histories and vital signs, assist during exams, manage lab prep, and maintain EMR records while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams and procedures.
  • Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and lab preparation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation.
  • Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling, and processing referrals.
  • Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep.
  • Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
  • Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions.
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Certified Medical Assistant Essential Responsibilities:
