Job summary

Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Muncie, Indiana. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you’ll provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment aligned with professional standards.

Required: degree in OTA from an accredited program; state OTA licensure; CPR certification preferred; 0–1 years of experience. You’ll assist in implementing treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with the therapy

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0–1 years.
• Current OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
