Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Muncie, Indiana. Under an OT, you will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, with emphasis on ADL training and therapeutic exercises to enhance patient independence.

Requirements include an OTA degree, 0–1 years of experience, and current OTA licensure or certification; CPR is preferred. Weekly pay, strong benefits, and student loan repayment are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and Certifications: Must have and maintain a current, valid OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
