Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Muncie, IN. The OTA works under an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting and to support patient independence.

Education must include an OTA degree with an active license or certification; CPR certification is preferred. The role involves carrying out treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families on home exercises.

Qualifications

• Education: OTA degree from an accredited program.
• Must have and maintain a current OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.
• Experience: 0-1 years in occupational therapy settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises and ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Document patients' responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies to support progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
