Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Anderson/Spartanburg, SC seeks a Certified Orthotic Fitter / Certified Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistant to provide independent patient care for orthotic devices under indirect supervision of a certified orthotist.

Responsibilities include fitting and adjusting devices, instructing patients, documenting visits, and ensuring compliance with Medicare, HIPAA, and OSHA while collaborating with clinicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to orthotic devices.
• Provide independent patient care for off-the-shelf and pre-fabricated devices.
• Evaluate device fit, adjust for comfort and effectiveness.
• Instruct patients on proper use of orthotic devices.
• Maintain detailed clinical notes in patient records.
• Support reimbursement activities with administrative staff.
