Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks an Orthotic Fitter to provide independent patient care, fitting off-the-shelf and pre-fabricated orthoses and collaborating with clinicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires ABC certification or eligibility, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support patient care and device optimization.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively fit and deliver non-custom orthotic devices.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients' needs in relation to disease and functional loss.
• Provide independent patient care for orthotic devices within scope.
• Evaluate orthotic devices on patients and adjust for fit, function and safety.
• Instruct patients in the use of orthotic devices.
• Maintain detailed clinical notes in patient records and communicate with staff.
