Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient assessments and implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an OT. You’ll document progress, apply modalities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Mercy facility.

Ideal candidates have graduation from an accredited OTA program, current or eligible state licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of experience or fresh graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current license or eligible for licensure.
• One year experience preferred, new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessments and document the course of patient care.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatments per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and department records.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of care for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Perform duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
