Job summary

Dallas Medical Center, LLC seeks a Medical Surgical CNA to support patient care in the Med/Surg unit. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for changes in condition.

In this full-time night shift role in Farmers Branch, TX, you will help nurses, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment. Eligibility requires CNA certification and BLS; prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Help with mobility including turning, repositioning, and transferring to prevent skin breakdown; may assist with feeding and monitor intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs; observe and report changes to nurses; may assist with wound care under RN direction.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms; keep environment clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.

Employment Type : Full Time

Location : Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX

We are seeking a Medical Surgical CNA , also ref erred to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Med-Surg CNA. A Med Surg CNA will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg CNA, will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• A ssist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• H elp with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown , you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output
• T ake and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN
• S tock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe
• A ssist in transporting patients within the hospital

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.
