Prime Healthcare in Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX, is seeking a Definitive Observation Unit CNA to provide direct patient care in a step-down unit awaiting close monitoring. The role involves 12-hour night shifts and supports nursing staff in high-quality care.

Qualified candidates hold an active CNA certificate and BLS, with knowledge of medical terminology and hospital-experience preferred. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred

Responsibilities

• Take and record frequent vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, and feeding support
• Turn, reposition, and assist patients with mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques and equipment
• Monitor and document intake and output while observing for and reporting any changes in patient condition
• Support nursing staff in providing high-quality care to patients requiring close observation in a step-down unit

Hours:12-hour shifts– 6:45pm to 7:15am

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

We are seeking aDefinitive Observation Unit CNA,also referredtoDOU Certified Nursing Assistant, Step-Down Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)or Progressive Care CNA in our Definitive Observation Unit (DOU).This role involves providing direct patient care to individuals who require closer monitoring than on a regular med-surg floor butarenot critical enough for the ICUin our DOU.

Responsibilities

• Take and record frequent vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Assistpatients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, and feeding support
• Turn, reposition, andassistpatients with mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques and equipment
