Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist patients with daily living activities and maintain a safe, clean environment under RN supervision.

Location is Forsyth Medical Center in North Carolina with 7a-7p scheduling; state NA I registration and AME medication safety required. Previous long-term care or assisted living experience is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of NAI program required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.

Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
