Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CNA I for the Progressive Care Unit to provide and document assistance to patients with daily living activities under the direction of a registered nurse.

The position is part-time, night shift (7:00pm-7:00am) in the Intermediate Care Unit, with relocation assistance available up to $7,500 and opportunities to join a hospital recognised for quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of NAI program required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
• Medication Safety - AME, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document assistance to patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients.
• Support accurate documentation of patient care.
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative care team and uphold quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

• Experience:

  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.

• Licensure/Certification:

  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.

• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
