Sanford Health in Lakota, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. The role involves basic health care support, daily living activities, and maintaining care plans.

This full-time day shift offers a 40-hour work week, shift differential, opportunities for advancement, and a generous benefits package. Certification as a CNA is required or must be obtained within four months; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of start.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education are required.
• In applicable states, certified and registered with the UAP Registry.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with a valid license and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assists residents with transferring, repositioning, walking, ROM and passive exercises.
• Assists with meals, dining, hydration, and documents care interactions.
• Maintains housekeeping and laundry to keep living areas clean and safe.
• Encourages participation in wellness and recreational programs and supports infection control policies.
