Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, WI is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time day shifts on site. This acute rehabilitation unit emphasizes compassionate care for patients with brain injuries, spinal injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations and traumas.

You will obtain vital signs, assist with daily activities, deliver meals, and support mobility under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have active CNA license in the state of Wisconsin.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, grooming).
• Deliver meals and assist feeding as needed and document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely and assist mobility.
• Respond to patient call lights and support wellbeing.
• Transport patients to treatment areas as required.

Schedule: Full-time Day Shifts

Compensation: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour based on experience

Sign-on bonus: $3,000

• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have active CNA license in the state
