Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Madison is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a per diem/night shift position housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Madison. Schedule is 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., with a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

The unit cares for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological or orthopedic conditions in an acute rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include obtaining vitals, assisting with daily care, delivering meals, turning immobile

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have active CNA license in the state of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks; document oral intake and supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely and assist with mobility.
• Respond to patient call lights and perform tasks supporting patient well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN Night Shift

Hours: 7:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.

Compensation: $24.00 per hour - plus shift differentials

Sign-on bonus: $1,500

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have active CNA license in the state
