Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Madison is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support post-ICU patients with compassionate care during full-time night shifts (7:00pm-7:00am) in Madison, WI. The CNA will assist with bathing, rounds, patient transport, and daily room care as part of a 44,000-strong nationwide team.

Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $27.00 per hour based on experience, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years related experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or CNA certification or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients and provide basic personal care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers; assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
