Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee - St. Francis is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-focused care in a post-ICU setting. The role supports daily activities, hygiene, feeding, and mobility for medically complex patients in a dedicated recovery environment.

Full-time day shift from 7:00am to 7:00pm includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. The hospital emphasizes orientation, education support, and a clinical ladder to advance skills.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a CNA or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less bath products and oral hygiene.
• Provide assistance with feeding and hair care; participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients as needed and help move them in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment; restock supplies as directed.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire


• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
