Job summary

Sapphire Center for Rehab & Nursing is a premier 5 Star skilled nursing facility in New York seeking enthusiastic CNAs for all shifts. Under supervision, CNAs deliver direct nursing care and assist residents with personal and comfort needs, contributing to a warm, respectful environment.

We require current NY CNA Certification; new graduates welcome and willing to train. All offers are contingent on background and vaccine testing as part of our health and safety program.

Qualifications

• Current NY CNA Certification.

• Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents
• Ambulates and transports residents
• Records and totals fluid intake and output
• Weighs residents
• Documents activities on flow sheets
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse
• Takes and records vital signs
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge
