Job summary

Sapphire Nursing at Wappingers, a premier long term skilled nursing facility in Dutchess County, NY, is hiring enthusiastic CNAs for all shifts. Under supervision, CNAs provide direct nursing care and support residents’ comfort and daily needs.

Requirements include current NYS CNA certification; LTC experience is a plus. We offer a competitive salary, a 1199 SEU benefits package, supplemental insurance, PTO, 401k, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus payable in quarterly installments after the 90-day

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
